Mrs. Rivas is a bilingual and bicultural clinical social worker who has more than 13 years of experience working in the non-profit sector. She has experience with diverse groups, including LGBTQ+, individuals with problems with substance abuse, people who are victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse in intimate relationships, etc. Ms. Rivas has been serving Erie patients since the year 2019. Presently, telehealth mental health services are offered. Dr. Rivas is part of the Behavioral Health Perinatal Team which focuses on postpartum and pregnant women. She specializes in trauma-informed care and offers an EMDR treatment for adults. She provides group and individual counseling, as well as a Medication-Assisted Therapy Program and referrals for specialist care and a Women's Support Group. Amanda is also a member of the Best Friends Animal Society. She assists pets in need of new home. Amanda believes in the motto from Best Friends, "Save Them Everyone" And she's determined to transform Los Angeles into a city that doesn't kill animals.
